The game
A university student's stress and anxiety build until they collapse into something he has to climb back out of. The game sends him through the four lobes of his own brain to take them back one at a time.
It's a 2D narrative game with over-world exploration, built in Unity by a team of five as our senior capstone. The subject matter is the point: we wanted the mechanics to carry the experience of losing your footing rather than have a character describe it in dialogue.
What I did
Production & direction
Set the milestones, ran the backlog, and kept five people moving toward a fixed capstone deadline.
Scripting
Wrote the game's C# systems — roughly 26 scripts covering movement, interaction, state, and progression.
Level design
Built the environments and paced each stage so difficulty rose with the story rather than against it.
Narrative & UI
Wrote the story structure and built the interface around it, keeping the HUD quiet enough to stay out of the way.
On a five-person student team you produce and you build. Both were the job.
